Mudeford Phoenix are delighted to announce that we have been presented with a grant of £2,120 from AFC Bournemouth as part of the club's Cherries Big Cheque Presentation.
The presentation marks a special moment for the club and the players who will benefit from this generous support. The cheque was presented by AFC Bournemouth's number 16, Marcus Tavernier, the talented English midfielder and winger who has become a key figure for the Cherries.
This funding will make a real difference to our current Under 12s squad, helping several players attend next year's exciting tour to Spain who otherwise may not have been able to afford the trip. The opportunity to experience international football, create lasting memories and continue developing both on and off the pitch is something that every young player deserves, and we are incredibly grateful that this grant will help make that possible.
Representing Mudeford Phoenix at the presentation was Joe Lowenstein, manager of the Under 12s squad, and Olive Lowenstein, who accepted the cheque on behalf of the club and the players.
Everyone at Mudeford Phoenix would like to extend a huge thank you to AFC Bournemouth and the Cherries Big Cheque Presentation initiative for investing in young people and helping to create opportunities that will have a lasting impact on our players.
We look forward to seeing our Under 12s represent the club with pride in Spain next year.
